GHOSTWRITER
It takes a ghost to make a ghostwriter
It takes guts to say out loud
Things which no one wants to hear
It takes more than one hundred heartbeats
To complete a minute of anticipation, anxiety or pain
And no less than a century
To forget
Or forgive.
It takes poor eyesight
Not to notice your distress
Just when you were so close
But it takes eagle eyes to face you again.
It takes a faithful heart
To believe
To suffer in silence
And a strong one
To stand by your side
When the rain fell so hard.
It takes one's hand
To grab a pencil
It takes a poet
To write down
And this one may pass the same roads
In the old search for something new
Trying to tell what everybody knows
Though few dare to say.
It takes no more than my sad eyes
To let warm drops of feelings
Mix with the words
Which, I should have told you.
